Venereal Warts Treatment

Who gets these?

People who are sexually active with multiple partners get infected; usually in the 15 to 30 year age group.  The immune system becomes compromised and that is why they can also transmit the disease to others through sexual activity.

What are they?

Condyloma is another name for Venereal Warts and they are pretty common STD’s (Sexually Transmitted Diseases) which are caused by the Human Papillomavirus or HPV.  These warts are not visible to the naked eye and are located close to the sex organs and in the area of the genitals and anus.

How is it spread?

The warts are spread through the skin during vaginal, oral and anal sex with an infected person.  Mothers who are infected can transmit the infection to the newborn during delivery, and the warts are found in the mouth or throat of the newly delivered infant.

What are the symptoms?

Warts appear that are different size, soft, raised growths, sometimes flat that appear in small clusters or on their own in the genital and anus area. The incubation period is immediate or can be after one to twenty months.  The virus stays inactive and dormant for months or even sometimes years before the sign of the HPV infection appears.

Is there a permanent cure?

Venereal warts are contagious for life once a person is infected, and there is no permanent cure.  Usually two thirds of people who come into contact with an infected person contract the disease, there is no immunity and repeat infections are very possible.

Treatment

There are several methods used to treat this infection.  A process of freezing the warts and removing them is called “Cryosurgery.” Another practice is through surgery. Before resorting to these procedures, however, the health provider will prescribe creams and gels such as Podofilox which comes in a solution or gel, a cream called Imiquimid or Podophyllin, which is a topical cream.

A homeopathic solution is Wartrol which is easy to use and has been rated by users and professionals as being superior in success rate for treatment of venereal warts both short and long term with a 97% success rate and no side effects.  Results can be noted within 24 hours with fewer outbreaks. This cream should be used at least 3 months so as to prevent further outbreaks.

Dermasil is another safe and efficient cream that can be used long term probably for the duration of at least six months to get reduction and possible elimination of the Venereal warts.

Healing Oils that are natural such as “Heal Warts” is mild on the skin but not as effective as Wartrol, and should be used at least for the duration of 4 weeks so as to achieve significant results.

If left untreated, the warts will spread and risks of HPV (Human Papillomavirus) or cancer of the vulva, cervix, penis, or anus may occur.
Prevention of contracting venereal warts is one of the best advices physicians and health providers can recommend.  Here is some of that advice.
